We've got to find another way out...

This is one of my favorite songs on Brandon's solo album.
If you think about it, yes, we DO have to find another way.
We cannot simply consume infinitely because this rock in the universe will destruct and disappear.
A night without cars, no oil consumption, no fossil fuel consumption of any kind,
even for a day, can you imagine? No drilling, no fracking, no blowing tops off mountains, no environmental catastrophes that we cannot restore to pristine, can you imagine?

Picture this: a falling star

the door holds a kite string
The two of us are holding fast
Where will the fall leave us?

(You were a prisoner)
And so was I
(Now we’re the hunted)
It opened my eye
(Into the arms of)
A threat that’s real!
This is our burden
we’ve got to find

Another way out!
If there are no such things as walls
you’re not a prisoner at all
Another way out!
Yeah, there is nothing holding you!
So run like
a Caribou

Picture this: A night without cars
Just hooves and long legs
The two of us
are horned and proud
The city is ours again

(You were a prisoner)

And so was I
(Now we’re the hunted)
It opened my eye
(Into the arms of)
A threat that’s real!
This is our burden
we’ve got to find

Another way out!
If there are no such things as walls
you’re not a prisoner at all
Another way out!
Yeah, there is nothing holding you!
So run like
a Caribou!

Another way out!
If there are no such things as walls
you’re not a prisoner at all
Another way out!
If there is nothing holding you!
So run like
a Caribou!
